2027 enrolments are now open at Birkdale South State School to all our of catchment year levels as we seek to introduce a third class to our cohort (due to popular in catchment enrolment numbers).
As our school community continues to build, we are planning to expand from two to three classes in selected year levels. This provides an exciting opportunity for more families from across the Redlands to become part of our welcoming school community.

Families considering Prep at Birkdale South in 2027 are also invited to participate in our Bright Sparks Pre-Prep Program, commencing in Term 4. Bright Sparks is held on Friday mornings and provides children with a supported introduction to our school’s people, places and their 2027 Prep learning spaces. The program helps children develop familiarity, confidence and a sense of belonging before their first day of school.
We warmly invite kindergarten teachers, directors, children and families to experience the Birkdale South community by dropping in for a Walk and Talk with the Principal. This is an opportunity to tour our school, visit our learning environments and discuss how we can support your child’s transition to Prep.
